SWPA Grand Veteran Competition
This is a new competition introduced at our 2024 Championship Show.

Our aim is to provide a Veteran Competition OPEN for EVERYONE Including Amateur & Non-Amateur status.
The competition is divided into two sections:
In-Hand & Ridden Pony Classes & Championship & In-Hand & Ridden Horse Classes & Championship, and is run on Saturday of our Championship Show, with the final held within the ‘Evening Performance’ under floodlights.
There are NO qualifiers for this competition, and you need not be a member of SWPA
Prizes include the following:
Special Rosette for the oldest exhibit in each class
Special Sash to the highest placed Shetland Pony
Special Garland Sash & Glass Award to the Oldest exhibit in the overall Final.
The Overall Champion will receive £100, Sash & Trophy.
Reserve Champion will receive £50.00 & Sash.
First reserve will receive £25.00 & Sash.
All four finalist in the overall Championship will receive a very special rosette.
The Overall Champion will also receive a very special ‘Hand Painted Portrait’ of the winning Veteran. Kindly donated and painted by Mrs Jill Perrior.
